The diamonds are seen after taking bark off . The Knotty wood base is from Knotty Spruce Tree in Alaska . The Ulu is an Alaskan native knife that was used on cutting fish, moose, caribou and now used in most all cooking/dicing techniques. Approximately 6 inches and base 4-6 inches
